For over 125 years, League City United Methodist Church has been an active church in League City, serving a great God. Our desire is to be a place where God can meet you where you are. If you are seeking refuge, we are a place of peace. If you are seeking an exciting place that is filled with opportunities for growth, this is the place for you. LCUMC offers opportunities to grow spiritually and find true friends.

Sunday is an exciting time at our Church! We come together as a family to celebrate the majesty of God in two unique worship services, the 9AM contemporary worship service called Magnify and the 11AM Traditional hymn and liturgy-based service. Regardless which service you choose, you will experience a scripturally based message that is relevant, life-affirming, and life-changing. We encourage you to find the service that works for you and become a part of the League City UMC family.   You can experience us first from your own home by joining our Sunday morning Livestream on our website and Facebook page.  Once you’ve decided what style service to attend, please join us in person.

We understand the importance of addressing the needs in our community on a spiritual, physical, and emotional level. LCUMC is dedicated to reaching the community with the message of hope found in God’s Word.

We endeavor to do all we can to provide answers that make sense to the everyday questions of life.  Opportunities to build new friendships while learning and growing in Jesus Christ abound. Classes and small groups for all age ranges meet throughout the week.  We offer Sunday School every Sunday at 9:55AM.

We love children of all ages and children and youth have a special place in the ministry at LCUMC.   Age specific Sunday School lessons are offered for children aged 2 yrs. thru 12th Grade.   In order to provide a safe place youth can come, be themselves, and be heard we offer separate senior and junior high classes and small groups.

For adults, we offer Sunday school classes and small groups for all age ranges.  Some meet online, some in person, and others meet both online and in person.   We know you can find a class or small group that will be a fit!

At League City UMC, we know what we believe.

We are a church that believes in the Holy Trinity.

We believe in one God who is infinite in wisdom, power, and love. We trust in God as the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things.

We believe in Jesus, the Christ – the promised Messiah, Son of God, Deliverer, our Savior and the Savior of the world, “the world’s true light.” We believe that Jesus lived a life that was truly human and truly divine.

We believe in the Holy Spirit as God present with us for our guidance, comfort, and strength.

We believe in the primacy of God’s grace for us that is unmerited, undeserved, unearned, unconditional, and a freely given gift from God.  God's Grace is extended to all people regardless of the divisions and categories the world creates. God loves all and that is what we are to do; love each other no matter our differences.

We believe in the reality of sin and in the forgiveness of sin. When we confess our sins, God is faithful and just, and will forgive our sins. Forgiveness repairs our brokenness and our relationship with others and with God.

We believe in the Church as a community of faith and love, and as a fellowship for worship, study, and service for all who are seeking the living Lord. The Church is more than a building. The Church is present when we come together as a gathered community, supporting each other, and when we express our faith in witness and service to the world about us.

Ultimately, it is our prayer that you consider becoming an active part of this people-enriching, people-growing, and people-changing church. LCUMC is a phenomenal place to grow and share your faith and we can’t wait to meet you virtually or in person.
